I see planning as more than just making a to-do list for the day. I wrote about it here.
In the plan for the day, I have my OBJECTIVES split into subtasks. For example, today and tomorrow I will shoot and post lessons in English for the program "There is a plan. Plan a day, a month, a year in Notion “.
Also in my planner there are tasks linked to my VALUES (reading 30 minutes a day, listening to podcasts and writing a diary - it's not about specific goals, but about the value of understanding the world and human nature better).
There's also space in my planner for HABITS that I'm working on, like exercising daily (today it's running or the gym - depends on the strength of the wind outside) and going to bed by 10pm (so I can get up at 6am and do all of these things tomorrow).

A day, month and year plan is basically just a calendar frame that we're accustomed to use for the sake of convenience.
But first of all, a well-built, strong frame is a great assistant, to keep you on track. And secondly, there is some mystery, magic when on your birthday or on the last day of the year you review your diary, reflect, dream, check off and recall.
So why not to use it, if it works?
Anyway, sharing the “tricks” from my planning course at Notion.
My yearly and monthly planner have the same elements:
One main goal for the year
Three main tasks of the month
Insights and highlights (there are more, but let me save some for my clients and students of paid programs).
The point of these properties is to highlight what is important.
Cause our brain, focus and memory has limits. We need to choose what is important. But most people are doing well with keeping 1-3 targets under the scope.

Less is better
- is one of my favorite proverbs: for planing, shopping, and choosing a circle of friends.. anything
I suggest consciously collecting insights and highlights into your personal "piggy bank" at the end of each month and year. Because over time, it is unlikely to remember another purchase or a TV series watched for the third time, but an epic fail on a date, an idea overheard in a conversation, or a day with friends on the ocean - these are the real treasures of our life, which teach us, fill us up, and give it all meaning.
I publish this text at the end of the month, so I suggest we summarize it together.
I made a template in Notion with coaching questions for summarizing and planning. You can download it at the link below or write "Plan ” in the comments and I will send you this template for free. It's available in three language versions.
And you can also come to me for coaching, consultation or a program to create a plan for living the life of your dreams. First session with a 50% discount. Book here.😊
